The Four Suits Vase was inspired by my love of card games and is 13.25” tall and 8.5” wide.  It is made of 170 segments of mesquite, hickory and walnut.  The suits are red and black epoxy cut from the hickory with the pattern repeating four times around the vase. The segments are carefully arranged, glued together by hand and turned on a lathe.  
 
This is a sturdy vase with walls approximately 1/2” thick.  The finish is lacquer.  This vase highlights the complex and rich patterns found in mesquite and will add interest to any room in your house.  It can be used with dry flowers. A plastic vile can be used for water for fresh flower (or can be removed). This is truly a work of art!
